Waiters for corporate events, receptions and banquets
A served lunch at a convention, the end-of-year company dinner, a reception for clients and the banquet after a shareholders’ meeting depend on the room as much as on the menu. ToGet4U selects the waiters for these events: the front-of-house staff who lay the tables, serve and clear while the kitchen stays with the caterer.
The service has two kinds of client. The first is the company, or the event agency working for it, that has already chosen a caterer or uses the venue’s kitchen and has no one to serve the room. The second is the caterer who, on a fully booked date, needs extra waiters to work alongside its own team. Catering waiters are requested in the same way as waiters for a corporate event, and when chefs and bartenders join the team, our event catering service brings them together with the front of house.
Every event with guests, seated or standing, has a room to serve: the aperitif that opens an incentive trip, the sales team’s dinner after the budget meeting, the drinks that close a new model’s launch to dealers. If your format is different, put it in the quote request with the number of guests, the service style and the times of the service.
From table setting to clearing: what waiters do in the room
The shift starts before the doors open. The waiters lay the tables, arrange them to the agreed floor plan and check the covers, glasses and linen supplied by the caterer or the venue.
When the guests arrive, the waiters seat them, serve courses and drinks and follow the pace set by the kitchen. A buffet is different work: the waiters restock the platters and keep the counter tidy, and at a standing reception they pass canapés and collect empty glasses. Clearing and resetting the room close the shift, leaving it the way the venue wants it back.
Food, menu and equipment stay with you or the caterer
ToGet4U supplies the people. Food, drinks, menu, tableware, equipment and materials stay with you or with your caterer, and the waiters work with what they find in the room. The bar is a separate job: cocktails and drinks service belong to our event bartenders, whom you can add to the request if your event needs a bar.
Maître d’, commis and waiters: who makes up the team
Banqueting has its own hierarchy. The maître d’ runs the service, assigning the tables, deciding when each course goes out and keeping in touch with the kitchen and the organisers. The waiters look after their tables from the starter to the coffee, and the commis supports them by carrying plates, clearing and restocking, so the waiters never have to leave their tables.
A waiter used to banqueting knows this division of work. These roles go in the request when the event calls for them; they are not a fixed package. A gala dinner with many tables may need a maître d’ to hold the room together, while a buffet lunch for an internal meeting can do without one.
Guests, service style and uniform: what we need for the quote
The quote starts from the event details: city and date, number of guests and the number of waiters you have in mind. The service style matters a great deal, because table service, a buffet and a standing reception call for different skills and a different team even with the same number of guests. That is why waiters are counted on guests and service style together, event by event, with no fixed ratio of waiters to guests.
Give two times: the arrival for the table setting and the end of the service, so the shift also covers the reset. Describe the uniform in full, for example white shirt and black trousers, or give the dress code of the evening. If the guests are from abroad, the languages the waiters must speak are a requirement to put in writing, and so is banqueting experience when the dinner is formal.
How the selection of waiters works
Start by sending the request, with no need to register, with the city, the date and the details of the room. Your Event Manager takes it on and sends you a quote, free and with no obligation. Once you accept it, you receive a link to the profiles of the preselected waiters: you compare them and tell us who you want at your event.
Your contract reaches you by email, while the waiters sign theirs digitally on the platform. Before the event the staff receive a briefing with the uniform, times, stations in the room and on-site contacts, so every waiter arrives knowing where to stand and whom to ask. On the day, the Event Manager follows the service remotely.
Why choose ToGet4U for event waiters
ToGet4U works like a waiting staff agency with one difference: you see the profiles before you decide, and you choose who works the room, because with ToGet4U you choose the staff. The profiles come from a network of over 50,000 professionals registered on the platform. More than 1,300 clients and partners work with us, and we managed more than 1,800 events in 2025.
In peak weeks 90% of selections are closed within 48 hours. Your contract arrives by email, and staff insurance and paperwork are handled by the platform. We operate in Italy, Germany and Spain.
A gala dinner that ends with music adds a DJ to the room, and every role you need next to the waiters is part of our event staff. Request waiters for your event to get a quote, and tell us about the room you have in mind.
