What our event hostesses do
On ToGet4U, hostess means event hostess: the person who welcomes guests at an exhibition, a congress, a product launch or a corporate event, with no link to club or bar work. Hostesses are the first contact between your brand and the public, placed where visitors arrive, register, ask for directions or stop at the stand. The tasks change with the format, and these are the ones companies hand over to them:
- Reception staff at corporate events and product launches: greeting guests at the entrance, checking names against the list and showing the way to the rooms.
- Accreditation at congresses and conventions: registering participants, handing out badges and recording attendance at the desk.
- Stand hosting at trade fairs: welcoming visitors, introducing the company in the first exchange, collecting contacts and passing them to your sales team.
- Congress assistance in the rooms: welcoming speakers, passing the microphone during questions and distributing materials between sessions.
A trade fair runs over several days, so exhibition staff are booked by opening day and by shift, and the request decides whether the same hostesses cover every day or the shifts rotate. Congress hostesses follow the programme instead. Accreditation opens before the first session, the rooms need people while the talks run, and the desk stays staffed until the closing session. For medical congresses the figure is the medical hostess, who handles accreditation, attendance records and assistance in the room.

Why choose ToGet4U as your hostess agency
The network behind an event staff agency decides how many real options a request gets, and on ToGet4U® it counts over 50,000 registered professionals. Since launch the platform has handled over 6,000 events, more than 1,800 of them in 2025, and its clients and partners number more than 1,300. That scale is what makes cover possible in secondary cities as well as in capitals, and in peak weeks 90% of selections are closed within 48 hours.
Selection is shared, and the final word stays with you. The Event Manager preselects the profiles that match the figures, the city and the dates, and you see the services, experience and availability of each person before deciding who joins the team. Your contact from the request to the post-event stage is that same Event Manager, so a change of timetable or a question after the day goes to someone who already knows your event.
The idea for the platform came at a trade fair in Germany, while comparing quotes for a single hostess and seeing how much agencies added on top of what the hostess was paid. In June 2024 founder Mauro Tartamelli put the mark-up of traditional agencies at often over 100%. On ToGet4U the quote covers everything, from the staff fees with their statutory contributions to the dedicated Event Manager, and the platform takes charge of staff insurance and paperwork.
For the professionals the process is digital from registration to contract. They register for free and apply on their own to the event hostess jobs published on the platform, and each of them knows the fee before accepting.
Events and roles we staff
A single request can combine hostesses with other roles. These are the event formats companies book them for, with the figures each one calls for:
- Trade fairs and exhibitions: stand hostesses, reception staff at the hall or stand entrance, promoters for sampling and product demonstrations.
- Congresses and conventions: accreditation hostesses, congress hostesses in the rooms, medical hostesses for medical congresses, interpreters for foreign speakers and delegations.
- Corporate events: hostesses on the guest list and in the rooms at conventions, gala dinners, shareholders’ meetings and company anniversaries.
- Product launches: hostesses at the entrance, promotional models beside the product and models for the presentation itself.
The same welcome skills serve formats that no fair calendar lists: an open day at a factory, a foreign delegation on a company visit, a preview for the press. Someone has to record arrivals, walk guests to the right place and know whom to call when the programme shifts, and hostesses do that work there too. A request for one of these events carries the same information as any other: the type of event, the place, the dates and the figures, described in your own words.
Adding event stewards, promotional staff and models to a hostess team
Through the steward agency you can add event stewards for exhibitions, congresses and corporate events, who take care of welcome, accreditation, orientation and assistance at stands and in congress rooms; stadium stewarding, security and door supervision lie outside their role. Promotional staff and brand ambassadors for events, retail and field marketing come from the promoter agency, the route to take when a stand needs sampling or demonstrations. For fashion shows, photo shoots and product presentations, the modeling agency for events supplies models to companies. Whatever the mix, one Event Manager handles the whole request.
Hostesses in Madrid, Amsterdam and other European cities
We operate in Italy, Germany and Spain, and the platform selects professionals in cities across Europe beyond those three markets. The service is set out city by city for hostesses in Barcelona, hostesses in Madrid, hostesses in Amsterdam and hostesses in Montpellier. The same goes for hostesses in Cannes and Valencia, while a city missing from that list goes through the same request and, once you accept the quote, you see which profiles are available on your dates.
How to request hostesses for your event
No account is needed to request hostesses, and the quote is free, with no obligation to book. The request moves through these steps:
- Send your request with the roles, the number of people, the city, the dates and the hours.
- Receive a comprehensive quote and, once you have accepted it, the profiles the Event Manager has preselected.
- Compare and choose who works your event; the contract then reaches you by email.
Details that set your event apart belong in the request as well: the languages your guests speak, the dress code, what should happen at the stand or in the room, the length of each shift. With those in hand, request a free quote and once you accept it you will receive the hostesses available on your dates.
Before the event the hostesses receive a briefing on dress code, times, positions and the contacts to look for at the venue. On a staff-supply booking the Event Manager follows the day remotely and remains your contact once it is over. When the whole event needs organising, suppliers included, the request is the place to say so, since that moves the booking from staff supply to full event organisation.
